Baltimore Ravens
I proud to say I am a Baltimore Ravens fan! Today the Ravens just dismantled a team searching deep down inside trying to figure out who was going to make a play or when a spark would be lite. However the Eagles failed to do both of these. As the Ravens offense was looking for ways to get going the defense put them in spots where they could do no wrong. Joe Flacco hooking up with Mark Clayton on a 55 yard slant late in the game just put the game out of reach. However it was Ed Reeds 108 yard interception return for a touchdown that gave the Ravens all the momentum they needed to finish off the dying Eagles. The Eagles playoff dreams were ended today as they lost 36-7 an embarassing score Andy Reid must look at and swallow, as the Eagles may have another shot next year.

Untitled
After discussing the pros and cons a specific point rose to mind. The idea about how one person can change another persons idea about religion or science. A good point or theory debating why this happened or do you really think that is possible can change a persons perspective on belief. Another thing that struck my mind dealt with how serious a matter can be to someone to actually question it or not. Talking about fruit flies... I know I don't have a need to care about something like that but when we talked about homosexuality and how its genetic that raises more than a couple eyebrows. Persuasion and how serious something can be causes issues in the world we live in today. More people are susceptible to change and new ideas rather than sticking with what they believe in and this causes problem in society today.

Debts...
As talked about in class today.. a certain point drew my attention about the hierarchy of a debt or something owed to another. As Connor said debts are debts no matter what you make out of it however to the extent of the debt. I believe there should be consequences for not fulfilling your word, however taking a pound of flesh out of someone is a bit harsh. The bible states law and rules and when the consequence of not owning up to your date goes outside the normal relm and into insanity i believe it is violating God's rules. I think Portias statement made a lot of sense talking about how barbic Shylock is and how mercy is much stronger than power. The pure goodness of someone should never be lost but given to someone much less giving them another chance to make right of what they did not taking a part of them.

Jew who?
After thinking about everything we discussed in class today.. I agreed with Shylock's comments about everyone being equal no matter if you are black or blue. We all are human we bleed the same and have all the senses a human qualifies for. I think everyone in the world should be created equal no matter their religion, heritage, or anything else that can qualify someone as being "different" In the reading Jews were looked down upon. I know i make fun of Jews like everyone else does thinking its funny just like the black jokes but in all seriousness everyone should be viewed upon as the same. It isn't what we look like that determines the kind of person we are portrayed to be, but the way we carry ourselves. I agree with Shylocks soliloquy, his point is valid and makes sense.
